Description
Fretboard inlay dots for the early '60s Fender™ look. Cream-colored Corian® duplicates the distinctive look of old clay dot position markers. They're great for restorations and for making your instrument look more authentic. Reliably consistent 1/4″ (6.35mm) diameter, approximately .060″ (1.5mm) thick, and ready to inlay. We recommend epoxy or super glue for installing. Sold individually.
A little history: Clay position dots were first used by Fender™ in 1959, with the introduction of rosewood fingerboards on their instruments. Clay dots were discontinued in early 1965 and replaced by slightly larger 9/32″ (7.14mm) pearloid dots.
We also offer matching clay side dots for the edge of the fingerboard.
